Blood of Dawnwalker: Witchcraft Vendor Locations and 100% Completion Guide

If you’re trying to get 100% completion in The Blood of Dawnwalker, there is one group of NPCs you really don’t want to ignore: the Witchcraft vendors.

These merchants aren’t your usual “sell junk, buy healing potion” type of shopkeepers. Several of them carry unique recipes, rare alchemical ingredients, progression manuals, magical reagents, and some seriously powerful jewelry. The annoying part is that finding them isn’t always straightforward. Some are hidden behind quests, some follow specific schedules, and one vendor can actually disappear permanently if you make the wrong dialogue choices.

I learned pretty quickly that Dawnwalker doesn’t exactly hold your hand when it comes to its merchants. You can walk through an area several times and completely miss an NPC because you haven’t unlocked the right quest or because you’re visiting at the wrong time of day.

So, if you’re hunting down every Witchcraft vendor in The Blood of Dawnwalker, here’s the complete list, including where to find them, how to unlock their inventories, and which merchant deserves your immediate attention.

Before You Start: How Vendor Locations Work

There are a couple of map-related mechanics worth understanding before you start searching for these merchants.

Blood of Dawnwalker: Witchcraft Vendor Locations and 100% Completion Guide

The biggest one is the White Eye icon and the Towers scattered throughout the world. The map initially keeps large portions of the region obscured, making exploration much more frustrating than it needs to be.

To reveal the world properly, you’ll want to climb and synchronize all 11 Towers.

Once you’ve done that, the regional fog of war is cleared and navigating between settlements, wilderness locations, and hidden NPCs becomes significantly easier.

And trust me, this matters. A vendor might technically be “near” a location you’ve already visited, but without the map properly revealed, finding the exact path can be a pain.

Movement Skills Make Vendor Hunting Easier

Your character’s supernatural abilities aren’t only useful during combat.

The Shapeshift ability from the Vampirism skill tree can make exploration considerably faster, while Mercurial Fervor from the Witchcraft tree gives you another useful option for moving through dangerous areas.

I strongly recommend unlocking at least one strong traversal option before going on a dedicated vendor hunt. Dawnwalker has plenty of places where simply following the road isn’t the fastest — or safest — way to reach your destination.

Peddler of WondersSouthwest Svartrau CityAdvanced AlchemyModerate
MatriarchUriash VillageManuals & Rare ReagentsHard
VichoSvartrau CityLegendary JewelryVery Hard

The important thing here is that these four vendors aren’t equal.

Vera is useful early on, the Peddler of Wonders becomes increasingly valuable as your crafting options expand, and the Matriarch is arguably one of the best vendors for players investing heavily into Witchcraft.

But Vicho is the one I’d be most careful with.

He’s not just difficult to find. He’s missable.

1. Vera — The Woodland Alchemical Vendor

Vera is probably the first Witchcraft-focused merchant you’ll want to track down.

She’s located between Briar Sloughs and Maragir Wealds, tucked away near her woodland home. The location itself isn’t particularly difficult once your map has been opened up, but her schedule can absolutely fool you.

Vera’s Schedule

Vera operates primarily during the day.

During daylight hours, you’ll find her outside her woodland house and available for trading. Once night arrives, however, she heads indoors and sleeps.

So if you arrive after dark and think you’ve somehow missed the NPC, don’t panic. You probably haven’t.

Come back during the daytime.

This is one of those small Dawnwalker mechanics that can easily make a player think an NPC isn’t available when the real problem is simply the clock.

What Does Vera Sell?

Vera specializes in foundational Witchcraft and alchemy supplies. Her stock includes recipes such as:

  • Beast’s Bane Brew
  • Venom Claws Ampoule
  • Progression manuals
  • Dust of Anachora
  • Aconite
  • Various basic crafting materials

Her inventory isn’t necessarily the most exciting one on this list, but I’d still recommend checking it early.

The recipes can be particularly useful if you’re actively experimenting with Witchcraft rather than relying almost entirely on weapons or Vampirism.

My take: Vera is the vendor you shouldn’t overthink. Find her during the day, buy anything that expands your crafting options, and move on. She’s much more important as a reliable source of early magical supplies than as a late-game treasure chest.

2. Peddler of Wonders — Svartrau’s Strange Merchant

The Peddler of Wonders is a different story.

This merchant can be found in the southwestern district of Svartrau City, but you won’t necessarily have access to the vendor immediately. You’ll need to progress through the early main-story content before the merchant becomes available.

Once you’ve reached the appropriate point in the story, the Peddler becomes one of the more interesting Witchcraft merchants in the game.

What Does the Peddler of Wonders Sell?

The name isn’t exactly subtle.

This vendor focuses on more advanced magical and alchemical materials, including recipes and ingredients that become much more relevant as your character develops.

Notable inventory includes:

  • Supernatural’s Blood Infusion recipe
  • Potent Vrakhiri Attunement recipe
  • Rare monster extracts
  • Herbs
  • Alchemical liquids
  • Advanced magical ingredients

This is where Witchcraft starts feeling less like a secondary crafting system and more like a serious part of your build.

If you’ve been collecting strange monster parts and wondering whether they’re actually useful, this is one of the merchants you should visit.

My recommendation: don’t rush past the Peddler just because you’re already comfortable with your current build. His recipes can open up crafting options that are much harder to replace later.

3. Matriarch — The Secret Village Merchant

The Matriarch is easily one of the more complicated vendors to unlock.

You won’t simply stumble across her while exploring.

Her availability is connected to the “A Friend Like This” side quest, which eventually leads into “Song of the Mountain.”

And this is where Dawnwalker’s quest design starts getting sneaky.

How to Unlock the Matriarch

The quest begins in a narrow alley in northeastern Svartrau City.

You’ll need to pay attention to your surroundings and make use of Focus Mode, particularly around the rooftops. The sequence eventually leads to a confrontation with a Vampire Boss.

From there, the quest chain continues toward Uriash Village.

Your dialogue choices matter here.

When you reach the village, you’ll need to favor peaceful dialogue options in order to reach the outcome that unlocks the Village Elder as the Matriarch.

This is one of those moments where I wouldn’t recommend treating every dialogue choice like filler.

Dawnwalker clearly expects players to pay attention to conversations, and the Matriarch is a perfect example of why.

Matriarch’s Inventory

The reward for going through all of this is one of the most impressive Witchcraft inventories among the four vendors.

The Matriarch specializes in magic and combat manuals, while also offering valuable high-level reagents.

Her stock includes items such as:

  • Forbidden Sigils
  • Witchcraft Mastery
  • Glob of Likho’s Light
  • Tainted Marrow
  • Other advanced magical materials

If you’re building around Witchcraft, this vendor should be considered a priority.

In fact, I’d argue that the Matriarch is more valuable than Vera or the Peddler if you’re already deep into the Witchcraft progression system.

Don’t skip the quest just because it’s optional.

For completionists, the Matriarch is one of the NPCs worth going out of your way to unlock.

4. Vicho — The Elite Jeweler You Can Permanently Lose

Now we get to the dangerous one.

Vicho is the most missable Witchcraft vendor in The Blood of Dawnwalker.

And unlike the other merchants, this isn’t simply a case of arriving at the wrong time or failing to start a side quest.

You can actually lose Vicho permanently.

His entire inventory can disappear from your playthrough if you make the wrong decisions during his questline.

How to Find Vicho

Vicho is connected to “A Study in Crimson.”

There are several ways to initiate the quest, including:

  • Following information from Lacra
  • Discovering hidden notes
  • Visiting his house in Svartrau City at night

The timing is important because Vicho only conducts business at night.

That’s the opposite of Vera, so don’t make the mistake of assuming all merchants follow the same schedule.

Once you’ve gained access to Vicho, however, the real danger begins.

Vicho’s Permanent Death Warning

The questline eventually moves through “The Good Samaritan” and the second part of “A Study in Crimson.”

There are critical dialogue choices during these stages.

Choose incorrectly and Vicho dies permanently.

And when that happens, you don’t just lose an NPC marker on the map.

You lose access to his entire inventory.

For completionists, this is a nightmare scenario.

If you’re trying to collect every unique item, I’d strongly recommend saving before major dialogue sequences connected to Vicho. Even if you’re playing without guides, this is one character where I’d rather be cautious than discover several hours later that I’ve accidentally removed a unique merchant from my game.

What Makes Vicho Worth Protecting?

Vicho specializes exclusively in high-tier jewelry.

His inventory includes powerful pieces from the Epic, Master, and Legendary tiers, including:

  • Corrupted Ring
  • Fear of the Wilds
  • The Relic of St. Dasius

This makes Vicho much more than another vendor.

He’s effectively your gateway to some of the strongest accessory options available through the merchant system.

And that’s why losing him hurts so much.

Best Order to Find the Witchcraft Vendors

If you’re approaching these vendors naturally during a playthrough, I wouldn’t recommend blindly running around the map trying to locate all four at once.

A more sensible order is:

  1. Find Vera once the surrounding region is accessible.
  2. Unlock the Peddler of Wonders through early main-story progression.
  3. Complete “A Friend Like This” and “Song of the Mountain” to gain access to the Matriarch.
  4. Handle Vicho’s questline carefully and protect him from his potentially fatal dialogue outcomes.

This gives you a pretty natural progression from basic alchemy into advanced Witchcraft materials and eventually high-end equipment.

Tips for 100% Witchcraft Vendor Completion

If you’re aiming for a full completion run, keep a few things in mind.

Reveal the Map First

Synchronizing the 11 Towers should be one of your early exploration goals. It dramatically reduces the amount of pointless wandering involved in finding NPCs.

Pay Attention to Time of Day

Vera operates during the day. Vicho operates at night.

It sounds obvious, but when you’re juggling quests, combat, exploration, and the game’s day/night systems, it’s surprisingly easy to forget.

Don’t Ignore Side Quests

The Matriarch isn’t unlocked through ordinary exploration. Her availability is tied to a specific quest chain.

Likewise, Vicho’s inventory is tied directly to his storyline.

Save Before Important Vicho Choices

This is the biggest tip I can give.

If you’re pursuing 100% completion, don’t treat Vicho’s dialogue as something you can casually click through.

His death can permanently remove access to his merchandise.

Final Thoughts

The Witchcraft vendors in The Blood of Dawnwalker are a good example of why the game’s world rewards players who actually pay attention.

None of these merchants is simply sitting in a giant shop with a quest marker screaming “BUY STUFF HERE.” You have schedules, hidden locations, side quests, dialogue outcomes, and even permanent consequences to deal with.

Vera is the convenient early alchemy stop. The Peddler of Wonders becomes valuable when your crafting system starts getting more sophisticated. The Matriarch is a major target for dedicated Witchcraft builds, especially because of her manuals and rare reagents.

And then there’s Vicho.

If you’re doing a casual playthrough, you might never realize what you’ve missed. But if you’re chasing every recipe, manual, reagent, and piece of unique jewelry, keeping Vicho alive should be near the top of your priority list.

My biggest advice is simple: don’t rush the vendor quests.

The Blood of Dawnwalker clearly wants you to explore, listen, and make decisions rather than sprint from objective marker to objective marker. These four merchants are proof of that design philosophy. And if you’re going for 100%, taking the time to unlock all four can make a surprisingly big difference to your Witchcraft progression and final build.
