Blood of Dawnwalker Legendary Rings Guide: Ring of Focus, Astrologer’s, Night & Quick Strikes Stats

If there is one thing I have learned from playing action RPGs, it is that the gear that looks boring at first can end up completely changing how a build feels. The Blood of Dawnwalker is especially guilty of this. Its legendary rings are not just small stat sticks that you equip and forget about. Some of them can dramatically change how often Coen gets his abilities back, how hard his witchcraft hits, or how comfortably he can survive during the dangerous nighttime portions of the game.

After spending time comparing the legendary ring options, four pieces stand out to me more than the rest: Ring of Focus, Astrologer’s Ring, Ring of the Night, and Ring of Quick Strikes. They are all useful for different reasons, and importantly, they fit very different builds.

There is also a practical reason to collect them. If you are chasing the Gear of the Gods trophy or achievement, these legendary accessories become part of the larger equipment hunt.

So, rather than simply listing their stats, here is how I would actually approach these rings, where to get them, and which ones are worth building around.

The Four Legendary Rings at a Glance

Before getting into individual locations, here is the quick comparison.

Blood of Dawnwalker Legendary Rings Guide: Ring of Focus, Astrologer’s, Night & Quick Strikes Stats

Legendary RingLevelMain StrengthBest Use
Ring of Focus25Activation Charge RestorationAbility-heavy builds
Astrologer’s Ring27Witchcraft Damage & CooldownWitchcraft builds
Ring of the Night21Vampiric Health & Blood DrinkingSurvival-focused night builds
Ring of Quick Strikes32Weapon Damage & CriticalsAggressive weapon builds

The important thing is that there is no single “best” ring here. Personally, I would not blindly equip the highest-level option. Ring of Quick Strikes is the obvious choice if you want to hit things extremely hard, but the lower-level Ring of the Night can be considerably more valuable if your build revolves around vampiric abilities and health management.

Ring of Focus Location and Stats

The Ring of Focus is probably the first legendary ring I would recommend hunting down if you enjoy using abilities constantly rather than relying purely on basic attacks.

Its flavor text, “Focus and you can achieve anything,” fits the item surprisingly well. The whole point of this ring is keeping Coen’s activation resources moving.

How to Get Ring of Focus

You will need to work through the Xanthe Court progression to obtain it.

The relevant activity is:

Xanthe’s Excavations: Ghostly Possession

Once the activity becomes available, travel to the excavation area and clear the enemies surrounding the objective. After dealing with the supernatural threat, the ring is awarded as the activity reward.

It is not something I would waste time searching for as a random open-world drop. If you are specifically hunting this ring, concentrate on the Xanthe Court activities instead.

Ring of Focus Stats

The ring weighs only 0.10 and has a listed value of 398 gold.

Its most interesting bonuses are:

Blood of Dawnwalker Legendary Rings Guide: Ring of Focus, Astrologer’s, Night & Quick Strikes Stats

  • +27% Activation Charge Restoration From Attack
  • +27% Activation Charge Restoration From Block
  • +27% Activation Charge Restoration From Perfect Block
  • +9% Magic Damage Reduction

That combination is what makes the ring interesting. You are rewarded for interacting with combat rather than simply receiving a passive damage increase.

There are drawbacks, though. Its negative modifiers can reduce passive activation charge restoration, increase witchcraft ability health costs, and lower witchcraft ability damage.

For me, that makes Ring of Focus more of a specialized utility ring than a universal best-in-slot item.

Astrologer’s Ring: My Pick for Witchcraft Builds

If your favorite part of Dawnwalker is throwing supernatural abilities around, Astrologer’s Ring is the one I would pay the most attention to.

Its tooltip says:

“There is no abyss humans won’t gaze into.”

And the stats are just as dramatic. This is essentially a ring designed for players who want their witchcraft abilities to do more while coming back faster.

Astrologer’s Ring Location

You obtain it during The Cycle of Love, the main quest associated with Xanthe.

While exploring Xanthe’s manor, you will need to collect the necessary lanterns to access previously blocked areas. From there, make your way toward the top-right section of the central courtyard.

Use the lanterns to open the appropriate door and enter the room. Inside, you will find a chest containing the Astrologer’s Ring.

This is one of those collectibles that is very easy to miss if you simply follow the main objective marker and rush through the area. I strongly recommend exploring the manor rather than treating this section as a straight boss run.

Astrologer’s Ring Stats

The ring is Level 27, weighs 0.10, and has a value of 423 gold.

Its primary bonuses include:

Blood of Dawnwalker Legendary Rings Guide: Ring of Focus, Astrologer’s, Night & Quick Strikes Stats

  • +21.6% Witchcraft Abilities Damage
  • +14.4% Activation Charge Restoration From Actions
  • -9% Witchcraft Abilities Cooldown
  • +27% Passive Activation Charge Restoration

That is an excellent collection of bonuses for an ability-focused Coen.

The downside is that the ring sacrifices several defensive stats. Its negative modifiers can reduce Blood Drinking Restoration, Magic Damage Reduction, and Physical Damage Reduction.

That trade-off makes perfect sense to me. If you are building around witchcraft, you are effectively accepting weaker defenses in exchange for significantly better offensive uptime.

Ring of the Night Location and Stats

The Ring of the Night is a very different beast.

At Level 21, it is actually the lowest-level ring on this list, but don’t let that fool you into thinking it is automatically inferior. Its bonuses are tailored specifically toward Coen’s vampiric side.

The tooltip reads:

“Darkness will keep you safe.”

That pretty much tells you what this ring wants you to do.

Where to Find Ring of the Night

You will obtain this ring during the main quest The Lunar Game.

During the quest, you eventually reach Lunar Manor and face Bakir. After defeating the boss, don’t immediately leave the area.

Instead, head into the nearby Lunar Manor treasury and search for the locked chest there. The ring is inside.

This is another item where exploring after a major encounter pays off. If you simply follow the next objective and move on, you can easily leave the ring behind.

Ring of the Night Stats

The ring weighs 0.10 and has a value of 339 gold.

Its key bonuses are:

Blood of Dawnwalker Legendary Rings Guide: Ring of Focus, Astrologer’s, Night & Quick Strikes Stats

  • +27% Maximum Vampiric Health
  • +1% Vampiric Health Segment Regeneration per Second
  • -9% Vampiric Ability Cooldown
  • +36% Blood Drinking Restoration

The +36% Blood Drinking Restoration is particularly interesting. Combined with the extra vampiric health and cooldown reduction, this ring can make a night-focused build feel much more sustainable.

Of course, there is a price. Its negative modifiers reduce Claws Critical Hit and Claws Critical Hit Damage.

So, if you are trying to build a pure claw DPS monster, this probably isn’t your ideal choice. If survival and vampiric ability uptime are more important, however, I think it is one of the more attractive options.

Ring of Quick Strikes: The Offensive Monster

Then there is Ring of Quick Strikes.

At Level 32, it is the highest-level ring in this group, and it also happens to be the one I would choose for a straightforward aggressive weapon build.

Its flavor text is:

“Strike fast, strike hard, strike with satisfaction.”

Honestly, the stats deliver exactly that fantasy.

How to Get Ring of Quick Strikes

The ring is tied to the side quest Burrow Sorrows.

Blood of Dawnwalker Legendary Rings Guide: Ring of Focus, Astrologer’s, Night & Quick Strikes Stats

Follow the quest into the underground burrow areas and continue through the subterranean sections. Eventually, you will encounter a hidden ornate chest tucked away in an alcove.

That chest contains the Ring of Quick Strikes.

The underground area can be a little annoying to navigate, especially if you are trying to move quickly, so I would recommend following the quest objectives rather than attempting to explore every tunnel blindly.

Ring of Quick Strikes Stats

This ring weighs 0.10 and has a value of 510 gold, making it the most valuable ring among these four.

Blood of Dawnwalker Legendary Rings Guide: Ring of Focus, Astrologer’s, Night & Quick Strikes Stats

Its main bonuses are:

  • +16.5% Weapon Critical Hit Damage
  • +11% Weapon Critical Hit Chance
  • +17.6% Weapon Damage
  • +6.6% Physical Damage Reduction

Those numbers immediately make it appealing for weapon-focused builds.

The drawback is that you sacrifice several vampiric bonuses. Its negative modifiers can reduce Maximum Vampiric Health, Vampiric Health Segment Regeneration, and Blood Drinking Restoration, while increasing vampiric ability cooldown.

In other words, this ring is telling you exactly how it wants to be played: stop worrying about vampire sustain and start hitting things.

Which Legendary Ring Should You Use?

This is where I think Dawnwalker’s ring system gets more interesting than a simple “highest level wins” setup.

Best for Witchcraft: Astrologer’s Ring

If you are investing heavily into witchcraft, Astrologer’s Ring is my first choice.

The combination of witchcraft damage, cooldown reduction, and passive activation charge restoration gives you a much smoother ability rotation.

Best for Vampiric Builds: Ring of the Night

For nighttime combat and vampiric-focused builds, I would go with Ring of the Night.

The maximum vampiric health, regeneration, cooldown reduction, and blood drinking restoration work together extremely well.

Best for Weapon DPS: Ring of Quick Strikes

This is the easy choice for physical weapon damage.

Weapon damage + critical chance + critical damage is a brutally effective combination, particularly if the rest of your equipment is already supporting critical attacks.

Best for Ability Resource Management: Ring of Focus

Ring of Focus is more specialized, but its activation charge restoration bonuses can be extremely valuable if your combat style relies on frequent blocks, perfect blocks, attacks, and abilities.

My Recommended Day and Night Setup

One of the smartest things you can do with these rings is take advantage of Dawnwalker’s day/night gear presets.

I would personally divide the builds rather than trying to make one setup do everything.

Daytime Setup

During the day, I would favor:

Astrologer’s Ring + Ring of Focus

The goal is ability uptime. Witchcraft damage, activation charge restoration, and cooldown management are much more valuable when you are actively relying on Coen’s human abilities.

Nighttime Setup

At night, I would switch toward:

Ring of the Night + Ring of Quick Strikes

This gives you a combination of vampiric sustainability and serious weapon damage.

It also reflects how I think the game is meant to be played. Instead of trying to create one completely neutral build, let the gear change with Coen’s situation.

The table also highlights something worth remembering: every legendary ring asks you to give something up. That’s why simply collecting the rings isn’t enough. You need to decide which weaknesses you can actually tolerate.

How I Would Upgrade These Rings

Once you have your legendary accessories, don’t immediately assume the base stats are the final answer.

Take them to appropriate Blacksmith or Armourer locations and invest in their upgrade potential using gold and materials collected during exploration and monster encounters.

I would also use tempering to compensate for the weaknesses of each ring rather than doubling down on what it already does well.

For example:

  • Ring of Focus: Try to compensate for its witchcraft damage and health-cost penalties.
  • Astrologer’s Ring: Improve cooldown-oriented effects or other secondary witchcraft bonuses.
  • Ring of the Night: Look for ways to compensate for the lost claw critical bonuses.
  • Ring of Quick Strikes: Counterbalance its vampiric penalties with defensive improvements elsewhere.

This is where the equipment system starts becoming much more interesting. A legendary item does not have to be perfect on its own. Your entire loadout should work together.

Final Thoughts

The legendary rings in The Blood of Dawnwalker are a good example of why I enjoy RPG gear systems when they are done properly. There isn’t one accessory that completely invalidates everything else. Instead, each ring pushes Coen toward a particular playstyle.

Ring of Focus is about keeping abilities available. Astrologer’s Ring turns witchcraft into a much more dangerous and reliable part of your rotation. Ring of the Night embraces Coen’s vampiric side and gives him much better nighttime sustain. And Ring of Quick Strikes is the choice for players who would rather solve problems by hitting them extremely hard.

If I had to prioritize them, I would personally grab Astrologer’s Ring first for a witchcraft-heavy build, then Ring of Quick Strikes for a weapon-focused setup. But I would absolutely keep Ring of the Night around rather than selling or ignoring it. The day/night system gives these specialized items more value than their individual numbers might suggest.

And if you’re chasing the Gear of the Gods achievement, you’re going to want all four anyway.

The biggest takeaway is simple: don’t judge a legendary ring only by its level. Look at what it changes about your combat loop. In a game built around a ticking apocalypse clock and two radically different halves of the day, the right ring at the right time can be worth far more than a few extra points of raw damage.
