Aion 2 Fast Leveling Guide: Level 1 to 45 Speed Leveling and Max XP Methods (2026 Global Launch)
If there is one thing every MMO player learns eventually, it is that leveling fast is rarely about simply killing things faster. It is about knowing which activities are actually worth your time and, more importantly, knowing which ones you should completely ignore.
That is especially true in Aion 2.
The global PC launch puts the level cap at 45, and getting there quickly matters if you want to start working on endgame dungeons, Abyss content, faction warfare, and stronger gear while everyone else is still wondering why their XP bar suddenly stopped moving.
I spent enough time looking at the game’s progression systems to come away with one pretty simple conclusion: Aion 2 rewards players who follow the intended progression path, but punishes anyone who treats it like a traditional grind-heavy MMO.
You can absolutely waste hours farming mobs that barely move your XP bar. You can also burn through Kinah upgrading gear that you’ll replace three levels later.
Don’t.
This Aion 2 leveling guide breaks down the most efficient Level 1–45 speed leveling route, including the Main Story, side quests, Sealed Dungeons, Deanium Crystals, gear upgrades, daily content, and the mistakes that can slow your progress.
Aion 2 Leveling: The Main Rule Is Simple
The single most important piece of advice is this:
Follow the Yellow Main Story quests until the game gives you a reason not to.
The Main Episode quests are clearly designed around the game’s leveling curve. They provide large XP rewards while simultaneously pushing you toward new areas, systems, currencies, gear, and progression mechanics.
That makes them much more valuable than randomly running around Atreia looking for mobs to kill.
The real trick is knowing when to temporarily step away from the main quest.
If you hit a level requirement, a difficult boss, or an Item Level wall, don’t immediately start grinding mobs for hours. Instead, use nearby side content to close the gap while improving your character.
That’s where efficient Aion 2 leveling really begins.
Item Level vs. Combat Power: Don’t Confuse Them
Before getting too deep into the leveling process, there are two progression numbers you need to understand.
| Progression System | What It Means | Why It Matters |
|---|---|---|
| Character Level | Your basic level from XP | Unlocks quests, zones and progression |
| Item Level | Power calculated from equipped gear | Can determine whether you can enter certain content |
| Combat Power | Broader measurement of your character’s strength | Determines how comfortably you actually clear difficult content |
| Daevanion Board | Skill and passive progression | Directly improves your combat performance |
| Gear Enhancement | Improves individual equipment pieces | Helps maintain DPS and survivability |
Item Level gets you through the door. Combat Power helps you survive once you’re inside.
That’s an important distinction.
You might technically meet the Item Level requirement for a dungeon and still struggle because your weapon, skills, or other progression systems are lagging behind.
For speed leveling, I would always keep an eye on both rather than obsessing over one number.
Level 1–15: Just Play the Main Story
The first 15 levels are probably the easiest part of the entire journey.
Don’t overthink them.
Follow the Main Story, complete the tutorials, equip your new gear and learn your class.
This is also the point where you should actually pay attention to Aion 2’s combat mechanics instead of treating the opening areas like a tutorial you desperately need to skip.
The game puts considerable emphasis on skill timing, conditional abilities, positioning and aerial combat. Those mechanics become increasingly important later, particularly when enemies start hitting hard enough that simply throwing abilities off cooldown isn’t enough.
What You Should Do
- Follow Yellow Main Story quests.
- Equip new gear immediately.
- Learn your class skill chains.
- Practice aerial movement and combat.
- Save your Kinah.
- Avoid serious gear investment.
Your starting equipment is perfectly capable of carrying you through this section.
Do not dump your early resources into temporary gear. You’re going to replace it anyway.
Level 16–21: Start Picking Up Smart Side Quests
Around Level 16 or 17, the game starts opening up considerably.
This is where I would change the leveling strategy slightly.
Don’t suddenly accept every green quest you see.
Instead, look for side quests that overlap with your Main Story route.
This is the classic MMO efficiency trick: if your Yellow Quest asks you to visit an area where three Green Quests also happen to send you, take all of them.
One trip. Multiple objectives. Multiple rewards.
That’s what you’re looking for.
Early side quests can also provide useful blue gear, titles and enhancement-related materials, so they become much more valuable than they were during the opening levels.
The Golden Rule
If a side quest sends you five minutes in the opposite direction for one small reward, skip it.
If it asks you to kill the same enemies you’re already fighting for your Main Story quest?
Take it.
Level 22–31: Sealed Dungeons Become Important
Level 22 is an important point because new progression systems begin entering the picture, including Odile Energy and additional side activities.
This is also where Sealed Dungeons and map Strongholds become increasingly relevant.
Don’t confuse them with your primary XP source. They aren’t necessarily the fastest way to fill your experience bar.
Their real value is progression.
Sealed Dungeons provide Deanium Crystals, which feed into the Daevanion Board and ultimately make your character stronger.
And this is one of those systems that is easy to ignore because the reward doesn’t immediately scream “MORE XP!”
That’s a mistake.
A slightly stronger character kills everything faster.
A stronger character clears story bosses faster.
A stronger character spends less time dying.
And that eventually translates into faster leveling.
According to the progression route outlined for the global launch, each Sealed Dungeon clear provides two Deanium Crystals, making these activities worthwhile whenever they’re conveniently positioned along your route.
Level 32–40: This Is Where the Grind Starts Feeling Real
This is probably the most awkward part of the Aion 2 leveling curve.
Around Levels 32–33, the XP requirements start becoming much more noticeable. The Main Story can stop feeling like an endless XP fountain, and suddenly you’re staring at your experience bar wondering where the last 30 minutes went.
This is where players tend to make the classic MMO mistake:
They start grinding random mobs.
I’d resist that temptation.
Instead, check your map.
Look for concentrated side-quest hubs, Strongholds, Sealed Dungeons and other activities that can be completed with minimal travel time.
The goal isn’t to find the activity with the highest theoretical XP reward.
The goal is to find the activity with the best XP per minute.
That’s a very different thing.
Your Level 32–40 Priority
- Continue Main Story quests whenever available.
- Complete efficient side-quest loops when you hit a level wall.
- Clear nearby Strongholds.
- Use Sealed Dungeons for progression materials.
- Upgrade your main damage gear if bosses start taking too long.
If you’re struggling against a story boss at this stage, don’t automatically assume the boss is overtuned.
Check your weapon.
Check your accessories.
Check your skill levels.
Check your Daevanion Board.
Sometimes the problem isn’t that you need another hour of XP. You simply need more damage.
Level 41–45: The Final Push
The final four levels are where efficient routing becomes especially important.
At this point, you’re entering higher-level zones where faction conflicts and Rift activity can make certain areas considerably more dangerous.
Your objective is simple:
Get in, complete your objectives, and get out.
Don’t spend ten minutes fighting unnecessary mobs if the quest only requires you to interact with something 30 meters away.
Don’t chase an opposing faction player across half the map.
And don’t turn every Rift encounter into a personal war when you’re trying to reach Level 45.
Your time is worth more.
If you’re sitting at something like 94–98% XP and need one final push, this is another moment where random mob grinding isn’t necessarily the answer.
Check your available:
- Daily dungeons
- Duty objectives
- Supply requests
- Sealed Dungeons
- Remaining high-level quests
These activities can give you much cleaner XP chunks than wandering around hoping a random enemy drops the experience you need.
Aion 2 Daily Routine for Faster Progression
Once the relevant systems unlock, your daily routine should become part of your leveling plan rather than something you remember after everything else is finished.
| Daily Activity | Main Benefit | Priority |
|---|---|---|
| Daily Missions | XP, Kinah, consumables | High |
| Solo Dungeons | Enhancement Stones | High |
| Supply Requests | Progression resources and XP | High |
| Sealed Dungeons | Deanium Crystals | Medium-High |
| Random Mob Grinding | XP | Low |
The big one here is Daily Single-Player Dungeons.
They’re important because Enhancement Stones directly support your gear progression.
Skipping them doesn’t necessarily destroy your leveling speed today, but it can create problems later when your equipment falls behind the content you’re trying to complete.
Supply Requests are also worth checking regularly.
If the game asks for something cheap or easy to gather, there’s little reason to leave that reward sitting there.
Don’t Ignore the Daevanion Board
This is one of the progression systems I would absolutely keep up with while leveling.
Aion 2 doesn’t simply hand you stronger skills because your character level went up.
The Daevanion Board provides additional progression through different nodes.
Blue nodes improve active abilities, while Green nodes focus on passive effects and useful combat statistics.
And here’s the important part:
Deanium Crystals matter.
Green Side Quests and Sealed Dungeons are among the important sources of these crystals, which means some of the side content you’re tempted to skip is actually feeding directly into your combat power.
There can also be opportunities through limited-time event merchants such as the Shugo Festival Shop, where additional Deanium Crystals may be available for event currency.
If you can pick them up without sacrificing something more important, they’re worth considering.
As your skills reach higher levels, additional skill sockets can also open up, giving you more room to customize ability effects.
That’s not just an endgame luxury. Better skill setups can make the leveling process noticeably smoother.
How Much Should You Upgrade Gear While Leveling?
This is where MMO players love to waste money.
You’re leveling.
Your gear is temporary.
Stop treating every new sword like you’re going to marry it.
Your weapon deserves the most attention because damage directly affects your clear speed.
If you get a strong purple or high-quality blue weapon that you’re likely to keep for several levels, bringing it up to around +5 is a reasonable investment according to this progression approach.
Offensive accessories can also deserve attention.
Armor is different.
I wouldn’t aggressively enhance every temporary chest piece, pair of boots or gloves unless you’re genuinely struggling to survive.
My Leveling Investment Rule
Weapon > Offensive Accessories > Long-Term Progression Items > Armor
The Revelation Amulet is also worth maintaining because it stays relevant for longer than typical leveling equipment.
And if you later replace an enhanced weapon, check the Extraction Preview before throwing the old item away. You may recover some of the Enhancement Stones invested into it, although the Kinah cost involved isn’t simply returned.
That’s another reason not to go crazy with temporary equipment.

Five Aion 2 Leveling Mistakes That Can Waste Hours
1. Doing Every Side Quest
You don’t get a prize for clearing every green marker.
During the early game, many side quests simply aren’t worth the travel time. Prioritize quests that overlap with your Main Story route.
2. Ignoring Your Skill Chains
Aion 2’s combat isn’t designed around mindlessly pressing every ability whenever it lights up.
Conditional attacks, dodges, parries and crowd-control interactions can affect your damage considerably.
Learn your class.
Practice the important chains.
Your XP/hour will thank you.
3. Buying Temporary Gear With Kinah
The Marketplace is dangerous for one reason: it’s incredibly easy to convince yourself that one slightly stronger item will make everything faster.
Then you replace it two levels later.
Save your Kinah for systems that actually matter.
4. Forgetting Titles
Titles aren’t simply cosmetic collectibles.
They can provide useful stats, including movement and offensive bonuses. Check your available titles regularly and equip the one that actually benefits your current build.
5. Ignoring Rift Activity Completely
You don’t need to abandon leveling and become a full-time PvP player.
But if a useful Rift or faction event appears directly along your route, don’t automatically ignore it.
Some of these activities can contribute to your broader progression and prepare you for the PvP-focused endgame waiting at Level 45.

Aion 2 Level 45 Speed Leveling Checklist
Before logging off, I would run through this list.
- Main Story: Did I push the Yellow Questline as far as possible?
- Gear: Is my weapon strong enough for the next story chapter?
- Item Level: Can I meet the requirements for upcoming content?
- Daevanion Board: Did I spend my available Deanium resources?
- Daily Dungeons: Did I use my available Enhancement Stone sources?
- Side Quests: Did I clear efficient quests near my current route?
- Titles: Am I using my strongest useful title?
- Kinah: Did I avoid wasting currency on temporary gear?
It sounds simple, but that’s really the secret.
Aion 2 doesn’t require some magical XP exploit to reach Level 45 quickly. The game is much more about reducing wasted time.
Follow the Main Story. Pick up efficient side quests. Use Sealed Dungeons when they’re useful. Keep your weapon ahead of the curve. Maintain the Daevanion Board. Complete your daily progression content.
And, perhaps most importantly, stop grinding random mobs just because you’re five percent short of the next level.
There are usually better things you could be doing.
Once you hit Level 45, the game changes gears. The leveling race is over, and the real work begins: stronger equipment, Abyss content, faction warfare, high-level dungeons and building the Combat Power needed to survive them.
Until then, keep the route tight, keep your gear moving forward, and don’t let Atreia turn your leveling session into a walking simulator.
Level 45 is the destination. Efficient progression is how you get there.
