That’s where alternate characters become incredibly valuable.

Instead of treating them as second mains, think of them as specialists. Their purpose isn’t collecting legendary gear or climbing PvP rankings. Their entire job is producing resources that eventually strengthen your primary character.

Once I stopped trying to perfect every alt and instead focused only on efficient farming, everything became much more enjoyable. Less pressure, better rewards, and far less wasted time.

Don’t Waste Weeks Leveling Every Alt

A common mistake many new players make is assuming every alternate character needs to reach maximum level before becoming useful.

That’s simply not true.

Fire Temple Is Still One of the Best Farms

Some farming spots disappear after balance patches. Others somehow survive for months.

Fire Temple continues to be one of those places that consistently rewards smart players. Even characters with average gear can comfortably clear Explore Mode, making it perfect for alternate characters that exist purely for farming.

Rather than rushing straight to the final encounter, make sure you defeat every available mini-boss. Those additional enemies significantly improve the overall value of each run thanks to their chances of dropping high-quality equipment.

Even if the equipment isn’t useful for your main character directly, those drops still have value. I regularly use extra gear pieces for enhancement experiments, stat rerolls, or progression systems that would otherwise consume expensive resources. That’s a hidden benefit many newer players overlook.

Krao Cave Remains an Excellent Daily Routine

If someone asked me which activity offers the best balance between effort and rewards, Krao Cave would immediately come to mind.

Runs are quick. Preparation is minimal. Rewards remain consistently useful.

When several alternate characters complete these runs every day, the total amount of Kinah earned across an entire week becomes surprisingly impressive.

Instead of spending hours grinding ordinary monsters hoping for random drops, you’re earning guaranteed progression through structured content. That efficiency matters far more over several months than many players realize.

Gathering Isn’t Exciting—But It’s Incredibly Profitable

I’ll admit it. Gathering has never been my favorite MMO activity.

Still, whenever a game includes valuable crafting materials tied to gathering professions, ignoring them usually becomes a costly mistake.

In Aion 2, Odal plays an important role in crafting and character progression. The more alternate characters you have collecting it, the more flexibility your account gains.

Each character receives its own weekly crafting opportunities, allowing you to produce valuable materials multiple times instead of relying solely on your main.

Over time this creates an enormous stockpile of crafting resources that can either strengthen your equipment or generate extra income through trading. It’s not flashy gameplay. It’s simply efficient.

Don’t Ignore Abyss Points

Many players focus exclusively on Kinah and equipment while forgetting another valuable currency: Abyss Points.

Even casual PvP participation or simple faction activities gradually accumulate AP on alternate characters.

Rather than letting those points sit unused, convert them into items with consistent market demand.

Mana Stones remain one of the safest long-term investments because virtually every serious player eventually needs more of them. Whether you decide to keep them for future upgrades or sell them for additional income, your alternate characters continue generating value long after their daily activities are complete.

Staying Organized Is Half the Battle

The biggest danger of maintaining multiple characters isn’t difficulty. It’s exhaustion.

I’ve watched plenty of players create six or seven alts only to abandon all of them two weeks later because their routine became overwhelming.

The solution is surprisingly simple. Keep every farming session short.

Instead of trying to complete every available activity, focus only on those offering the highest rewards relative to the time invested. That’s how alt farming stays sustainable.

One thing I appreciate about Aion 2 is that it doesn’t force players to manually grind every minute.

Rather than hoarding everything that drops, teach yourself to prioritize valuable resources.

Everything else becomes vendor trash unless future updates suddenly increase its value. Having strict loot priorities keeps both storage and profits under control.

Is an Alt Army Worth It?

After spending dozens of hours exploring Aion 2, my answer is definitely yes.

Not because creating alts is exciting. Honestly, leveling your fourth or fifth character isn’t particularly thrilling.

The real payoff comes later.

When your main character always has enough Kinah for upgrades, enhancement materials ready for new gear, and crafting resources waiting in storage, you begin progressing much faster than players relying on only a single character. That’s when the strategy truly starts paying dividends.

Aion 2 rewards consistency far more than endless grinding. An efficient roster of alternate characters transforms small daily sessions into steady long-term progress, making expensive upgrades feel far less intimidating. You don’t need to spend every evening farming or chase every new optimization discovered by the community. Build a few reliable alts, stick to a routine you can realistically maintain, and let those small gains compound over time. From my perspective, that’s one of the most satisfying ways to play any MMORPG—and Aion 2 is no different.
