The chest matters because it gives guaranteed Tumbaga Ingots, which are one of the rarest crafting resources in Windrose right now.

This is a mistake I made during my second tower.

If your bags are full and items remain inside the chest, the Point of Interest can sometimes fail to register as completed.

Why You Might Not Be Able To Read The Stele

This confused a massive number of players during launch week.

You can find a tower early and still be unable to interact with the glowing monolith properly.

The lore here is surprisingly good.

The towers belonged to three ancient stargazers who predicted disaster for a tyrannical ruler named Chick-Chan. Instead of listening, he sealed the prophets alive inside their observatories.

Naturally, the prophecy came true anyway.

Classic cursed ruler behavior.

The quest breaks into two major phases.

Phase One — Clear All Three Observatories

After reading the first translated stele, your quest log updates.

Now you need to locate the remaining towers across the swamp.

The further you go, the nastier the enemies become.

You’ll encounter:

• Level 15 Plague enemies
• Plague Throwers

• Swarm ambushes near staircases

The towers themselves use the exact same puzzle mechanic every time.

After completing all observatories, the quest sends you toward the center of the swamp biome.

And honestly? That reveal feels incredibly satisfying.
